  • Objectives - The objective of the MonAMI project is to demonstrate that accessible, useful services for elderly and disabled persons living at home can be delivered in mainstream systems and platforms. The stated main contribution of MonAMI will be ... "The main innovation of the MonAMI project lies in demonstrating how a complex mix of technologies, many of them so far only validated under laboratory conditions can be brought together in a socially and economically viable way to facilitate inclusive access for elderly and disabled citizens". The project does not focus on technology development, but on integration and adaptation of already available devices to form overall systems.

Further details on the technology used or the services created are not currently available (Sept 2009). When they are published they will be found here.[1]

  • Trials - The MonAMI project has identified six sites for 'Feasibility and Usability' testing. The sites have different profiles and will address different user groups.
    • Site 1: France - “Maison domotique” Individual households
    • Site 2: Spain - Two apartments in Ecociudad Valdespartera [2] (Zaragoza)
    • Site 3: Sweden - SmartLab: Demonstration apartment
    • Site 4: UK (OpenHub) - OpenHub lab
    • Site 5: Slovakia - 10 sites depending on agreements with commercial companies
    • Site 6: Germany - Usability labs
